Pain to cold and sweet could mean you have decay which a filling would resolve.

If you have more severe pain, which is throbbing and possibly even waking you up at night, this could indicate the decay has progressed close to the nerve in your tooth and root canal treatment may be necassary.

Broken a tooth?

Description

If you have broken a tooth, a filling may be sufficient. But if the broken part is quite large the tooth may require a crown to restore its original function and prevent further breakages. If you have chipped a front tooth, again bonding with white filling material may be sufficient if it is not too large, otherwise a veneer might be necessary.

Bleeding gums?
